Hoping you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Years :-)
This morning I got home (sweet, freezing cold home) to Segovia, after a wonderful three-and-a-bit weeks travel around some of the wetter, swampier parts of Western Europe… Overall it was an operation ‘big success’, full of fun, frivolity, Christmas and New Years cheer, and a heavy dose of art, history, and inspiration. Right now my mind is bursting with all the new input… so much food for thought… so many ideas, possibilities, things to look into, brainstorm, and write-up, as well as a tonne of previously unheard of music and books and movies to hunt down… not to mention a list of New Years resolutions (mostly overambitious ‘to-dos’) to keep me well and truly occupied until 3013.
Unfortunately, first things first. It’s back to the real world: laundry, work and study. But over the next few weeks I’ll do my best to upload my happy snaps and write a bit about each of the countries I visited.
I’d also like to say a big thanks to all the people who hosted me (Sylvie, Anne and Sofie), plus everyone I caught up with, travelled with, and serendipitously crossed paths with on the way…
So once again, to anyone/everyone who reads this blog: Seasons Greetings, Feliz Año Nuevo, and may your New Years ambitions be just as wonderfully far flung as mine. Anything can happen if you give it a burl, and there’s no reason why 13 shouldn’t be a lucky number :-)
Hasta pronto amigos
